Here is a rare photo of Lloyd. He usually won't let me near him with the camera. He knows how you feel when you are shy in front of the camera.
The lovely Susan Fish of Storywell recently asked us to shoot some head shots for her and take some photos of her family. It was a fun time. She was interviewed for an article in the Red Leather Booth and they used our photo of her! As well as an article by Novel Matters. We were so honoured! All the best with your new book, Ithaca, Susan!
This amazing Feast was held at 22 Willow St. in celebration of the Harvest of Local Community Gardens: Young City Growers and Multicultural Gardens. It was a grand success. Volunteering to put on a three course dinner on a grand scale, chef John Rennie pulled together this sumptuous meal the day before with the local produce that was brought to him by the growers!
Ninth Street Photography was honoured to be able to capture the local event and to share in the feast! John, with your army of volunteers, you are unbelievable!
Late night practice.
The subsidized community on Albert street had their park ripped out and with no plans from the city to rebuild, the community got itself together and with the help of Life Change Adventures did some amazing fund-raising. Look what they built!! The opening of the park was a joyful celebration of people coming together. Here is the Record's article. Earthscape is the company that actually did the building and a large part of the donating too. They posted our photos on their Earthscapes Play site!
